The Merger LRF thermal binoculars are designed with the classic daytime binoculars layout. With a compact size, these binoculars are comfortably handheld, offering both a pleasing aesthetic and ideal ergonomics. The six control buttons are located in an easily accessible area, and the most commonly used functions of the device can be activated with a single touch. The optical design of the Merger LRF binoculars fully considers the characteristics of the human visual system. It is natural for a person to receive visual information simultaneously through two visual channels. Observing with two eyes is more relaxing than using just one, resulting in more effective detection of small or blurry objects and better performance in low-contrast situations compared to similar thermal monoculars. The interpupillary distance in the Merger LRF binoculars is adjustable between 62 and 74 mm to accommodate all users.
Correctly determining the distance to the target is crucial for making the right decision. An integrated laser rangefinder with a 1 km range allows for single measurements and continuous scanning with an accuracy of ± 1 meter, providing a quick and accurate assessment of any situation.
A high-sensitivity sensor with NETD < 25 mK captures minimal temperature differences during observations in low temperature contrast situations, as well as in rain or fog. The 384×288 pixel resolution ensures certain target identification, high-quality visualization of important anatomical features of an animal, and the smallest details of the surrounding landscape.
The thermal imaging optics significantly determine the ability of the thermal viewer to capture even the lowest levels of radiation. Combined with high-sensitivity sensors, the large-aperture lenses of the Merger LRF thermal binoculars (F35/1.0) provide maximum detection efficiency. During rain or fog, when the temperature contrast of the observed scene is minimal, Merger LRF users always have a high-quality, detailed, and informative image. The Merger LRF thermal binoculars are equipped with advanced image processing algorithms, proving effective in various weather conditions and operational scenarios. With Merger LRF oculars, users experience a new level of clear, disturbance-free vision with enhanced object detail and better contrast.
The Merger LRF is powered by two rechargeable batteries: one integrated with a capacity of 4 Ah and one removable with a capacity of 3.2 Ah. A single charge ensures up to 10 hours of autonomy, covering the active use time of the binoculars during a hunting trip. The textured surface of the removable battery allows accurate identification of its correct position, enabling safe and quick battery replacement in complete darkness, simply by feeling with your fingers.
The powerful F35/1.0 lenses, combined with a professional-grade thermal imaging sensor with 384×288@17µm, provide exceptional detection capability. A standard 1.8-meter (6 ft) tall object can be detected from a distance of 1350 meters in total darkness.
Variable magnification from 3x to 12x
Digital zoom, up to 4x, enhances focusing and overall object recognition at significant distances. The zoom can be adjusted incrementally with a 2x step or continuously, optimizing the field of view and personalizing it for each situation.
Remote operations with smartphones and software updates via the Stream Vision 2 App
The integrated Wi-Fi module connects the Merger LRF to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 app. This allows various operations, such as wireless software updates, real-time image transmission from the device to the smartphone, social media posting of photos and videos taken with the device, remote control of digital functions, and access to the latest Pulsar news. Registered users also get 16 GB of Cloud storage for saving photos and videos captured with their device.
Wide operating temperature range (-25…+50°C)
The Merger LRF thermal imaging binoculars are effective for use in low temperatures (-25°C) thanks to the freeze-resistant AMOLED Display used by the unit (the image remains consistent even when viewed in temperatures above zero).
High-quality reinforced magnesium alloy housing The Merger LRF is designed for continuous and often rough use. The magnesium alloy housing is lightweight yet durable, providing protection for the internal components from shocks, drops, heat, and cold. Additionally, the metal housing effectively dissipates heat from the electronic components, minimizes image disturbances, and helps the device operate smoothly during long observations.
Enhanced Wi-Fi connectivity with 2.4 / 5 GHz frequency band support In the Merger LRF thermal binoculars, the standard 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi frequency for smartphone connection is paired with an efficient 5 GHz frequency band. The latter offers better bandwidth, faster data transfer speeds, protection from interference, and improved connection stability, resulting in greater efficiency and convenience when using the thermal device with a smartphone.
IPX7 Fully waterproof IPX7
Fully waterproof for protection against heavy rain, snow, or other precipitation. Designed to function perfectly even after immersion in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes.
Integrated photo and video recording
The Merger LRF features an integrated video recorder. The internal memory allows for saving hours of footage and tens of thousands of photos. A simple press of a button is enough to take a photo or start a video, which can then be transferred to a computer via USB-C connection. Merger LRF owners have 16 GB of free Cloud storage on Pulsar’s Cloud for saving photos and videos taken with their device. Just install the Stream Vision 2 app, log in, and connect the device to a smartphone via Wi-Fi.
High-contrast HD AMOLED displays
The high-contrast AMOLED display offers better color reproduction, energy savings, and a quick response time, providing sharp and precise images even in cold weather.
8 color palettes
Eight color palettes enhance observation in varying conditions. While the classic White Hot mode is versatile, the Hot Black mode is often used to detect animals at night. The red monochrome reduces or prevents eye illumination. Sepia tends to improve long-distance observation, while Red Hot, Rainbow, and Ultramarine modes enhance temperature differences between different parts of an object. The purple mode helps identify an object more quickly.
