It extends by 2 cm beyond the barrel when installed and is designed for easy identification, thanks to a color-coded aluminum ring corresponding to each choke type. It comes with an individual protective case for safe storage.

Safety Recommendations for Chokes:

To ensure safe use of the chokes, it is important to follow these recommendations:

1. Weapon Check: Always ensure the weapon is unloaded before handling any chokes. Inspect the firearm by looking through the ejection window, feed window, and chamber. Never look directly into the barrel while loaded, and do not change the choke when the weapon is loaded, even if the safety is on.

2. Choke Condition: Check that the choke is not damaged and is clean both inside and out. Apply a light coating of Beretta oil to the threading on the barrel and choke.

3. Insertion and Tightening: Insert the desired choke and manually screw it into the barrel by turning it clockwise. Use the Beretta choke wrench to tighten the choke until it is fully seated, then apply firm pressure. For extended chokes, tightening by hand with moderate force is sufficient.

4. Periodic Checks: Periodically check the tightness of the choke, ensuring the weapon is unloaded. If necessary, restore proper tightness using the wrench. Ensuring the choke is correctly tightened prevents damage to the barrel and potential harm to property or people.

5. Cleaning: The choke should remain inserted and properly tightened during storage and cleaning. Cleaning the barrel without the choke installed may allow dirt to enter the threading, leading to improper insertion, rust, or barrel obstructions.

6. Barrel Use: Never use a barrel designed for a choke without the choke installed. Firing without the choke is dangerous, as lead residues or wad fragments may get trapped in the barrel threading, creating an obstruction. Additionally, firing without the choke can irreparably damage the barrel threading and result in uneven shot patterns.

7. Modifications: Do not alter or modify the barrel's fixed choke to fit interchangeable chokes. The barrel walls may be too thin to safely withstand the high pressures generated when firing.
