Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL60

The Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL60 is the flagship of the new line of thermal sights with a laser rangefinder from Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide, a world leader in the industry. You are looking at the most powerful model in its premium category, with a detection distance of up to 2800 meters.

At the core of the thermal vision is a powerful HD infrared sensor with a resolution of 1024x768 pixels, providing a highly detailed image of objects across the entire range of available distances. This sight is equipped with the most powerful germanium lens F60/f1.1 on the market, featuring a wide magnification range and an upgraded focusing unit.

The optical capabilities are more than sufficient not only for any type of night hunting but also for a multitude of military tactical tasks. To ensure high shooting accuracy, the scope is equipped with a laser rangefinder that works in conjunction with a ballistic calculator and a wide set of reticles.

To adapt the display system to any visibility conditions, a traditional set of 8 color palettes and a proprietary image processor are included. All successful shooting moments can be recorded in video, with all footage captured in high resolution and audio on a built-in 64 GB memory card.

Inside the eyepiece is a modern AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560x2560 px, allowing for detailed examination of any distant object.

A well-designed power system with two independent sources allows for up to 7 hours of use. The Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL60 has received only positive reviews from professional shooters and hunters. The scope is completely sealed and performs well under the recoil of powerful sniper weapons.

The Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL60 features a powerful germanium objective with a focal length of 60 mm and an aperture of f/1.1. With a base magnification of 2.5x, it can achieve a maximum magnification of 20x using the "Digital Zoom" feature from 1x to 8x.

A well-designed focusing unit with turrets positioned on both sides allows for comfortable adjustment for both right-handed and left-handed users. The front lens is made of transparent material for IR radiation, germanium (32Ge). The horizontal field of view (FOV) angle is 11.7°, corresponding to a visible area width of 20.5 meters at a distance of 100 meters.

Laser Rangefinder

The maximum operating distance of the rangefinder on objects with good reflectivity is 800 meters. Users can choose between two operating modes: continuous scanning and single measurement. The receiver and transmitter are located within a single optical channel, and the device is well integrated into the overall design concept without obstructing visibility.

The rangefinder meets the requirements of laser safety class I, operates at wavelengths of 905 nm, and has a measurement error margin of ±1 m.

Ballistic Calculator

The integrated ballistic calculator, in conjunction with the laser rangefinder, practically eliminates the possibility of shooting errors at medium and long distances. Using accurate distance data from the target, the calculator automatically computes the necessary correction for an accurate shot.

To effectively use this feature, it is necessary to create a profile for your shooting system and upload it to the scope's memory via the Vision Stream Ballistics app. Details for configuration can be found in the manual.

Innovative IR Sensor HD 1024x768 px, 12µm, NETD <35 mK

The thermal module of the scope is based on an advanced HD sensor with a resolution of 1024x768 pixels. The large FPA matrix ensures maximum image quality and extraordinary detail. The uncooled microbolometer, made with 12-micron technology, has high thermal sensitivity with a NETD <35 mK.

The spectral sensitivity range of 8-14 nm coincides with the "transparency window" of the Earth's atmosphere, allowing for the detection of objects with thermal contrast even through smoke, fog, or precipitation, both day and night. The refresh rate of 50 Hz is optimal for tracking moving targets.

PIP Function "Picture-in-Picture"

The "Picture-in-Picture" option displays a small window on the screen with an enlarged fragment of the central image. The currently used reticle is also visible in this window. This display makes it easier to recognize the target and aim at the vital area. The reduced image size also allows the shooter to maintain good visibility of the surrounding environment and effectively shoot at moving targets.

AMOLED Display

The scope's eyepiece features a round AMOLED display that offers a bright, high-resolution color image of 2560x2560 pixels with a refresh rate of 50 Hz. The exit pupil distance is 65 mm. Users can adjust the diopter in a range from -3 to +5 diopters, as well as modify brightness and activate a temporary shutdown feature.

Color Palettes

The scope offers a selection of eight color schemes that greatly enhance the observation process and allow the device to be adapted to specific tasks and visibility conditions:

  • Warm White (White Hot)
  • Warm Black (Black Hot)
  • Warm Red (Red Hot)
  • Rainbow
  • Ultramarine
  • Red Monochrome
  • Sepia
  • Violet

The White Hot, Black Hot, and Red Hot models are ideal for detecting objects at medium and long distances in low visibility conditions. The Rainbow and Ultramarine palettes enhance recognition and identification at close distances. For prolonged night observations, red monochrome, sepia, and violet colors are recommended, as they cause less eye strain.

Reticles

The Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF XL60 offers shooters a set of ten reticles for comfortable use at any distance. For short-distance shooting, classic hunting reticle patterns such as "dot," "cross," and "semi-cross" are ideal. If it is necessary to compensate for bullet drop, tactical options like Mil-Dot are always available. Information on the angular sizes of each reticle can be found in the electronic catalog on the manufacturer's official website. Shooters have a choice of nine colors for the reticle, including red, black, green, white, and other colors.

Video Recording with Audio, 64 GB Memory

The thermal sight features a recorder that allows for video recording with audio in .mp4 format at a resolution of 1024x768 pixels. Multimedia materials are stored on the internal 64 GB memory.

Stream Vision 2 App

To use the scope with digital devices on iOS or Android, it is necessary to install the official mobile app Stream Vision 2. Once installed, you will have access to data exchange, remote control of the scope, and the ability for autonomous updates. Additionally, registered users receive an additional 16 GB of cloud storage for multimedia files. The connection is made via Wi-Fi. It is important to note that the scope's wireless module supports operation at frequencies of 2.4 and 5 GHz.

Bluetooth Remote Control

Included with the Pulsar Thermion 2 LRF scopes is a Bluetooth remote control. The buttons on the remote fully replicate the corresponding commands of the device. The remote can be placed in a convenient location, allowing for adjustments to the optics settings without unnecessary movements.

Power System

The advanced B-Pack power system works with two independent lithium-ion batteries: a removable APS3 battery of 3200 mAh and an integrated APS5 battery of 4900 mAh. The removable battery is located at the turret of the vertical correction, and its replacement does not interrupt the operation of the scope, as the device automatically switches to the integrated battery. The operating time can reach up to 7 hours. To extend usage time, an external power source can be connected via USB Type-C.

Robust IPX7 Body

The body, made from a high-strength aluminum alloy, has the classic shape of a daytime sight with a central tube diameter of 30 mm. The completely sealed construction allows for the use of the optics in high humidity conditions and under heavy precipitation. The scope easily withstands the recoil of weapons with a muzzle energy of up to 6,000 Joules.
